MAD artists work with a diverse range of mediums including traditional and contemporary textiles and recycled materials.

Current projects include using recycled materials to create public art and working with modern print techniques to design original textile designs and artworks.

Jade Thoms graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2011 with a Bachelor of Design in Printed Textiles.

In 2008 Jade acted in ‘Active Resistance to Propaganda’ alongside Vivienne Westwood, after designing and constructing her own costume for the part of the White Rabbit.

My style is rather illustrative, with drawing and colour a main element in my designs.

More recently Jade has focused on working as a freelance photographer and has recently ventured into the world of fashion photography bringing together her love of design and photography.

In 2013 Jade worked with the MAD team to record the events of International Peace Day.
